Dragon Ball Xenoverse – Offline/Local Multiplayer

Heather and I bought a new game yesterday.  We’re very excited to add Xenoverse to our gaming collection.  It’s been a long time since either of us have played a Dragon Ball game of any kind, and so far this one has been pretty awesome.

But for the life of us, we couldn’t figure out how to play together offline.  We just wanted to see what our options were for co-op or even 1v1.  Since there isn’t really a traditional menu in the game and you have to run around the city they created (Toki Toki City) to find everything, it was a little more difficult.  But we finally figured it out and I wanted to put up a sort brief of how-to post to help anyone else who is lost.

So here goes:

1)  From the Hercule statue in Toki Toki City, go to the right, through the portal gate thing and into the next section of the city. This is where you met Trunks in the beginning. There’s a stream running along the path and bridges cross to your left.

2)  Stay on the path like you’re going to continue to the next gate thing, but don’t go to the next section.

3) On the right, there are some stairs that go up just a bit.  Go up them and on the left side of the building there is a stand that says, “Local Battle Reception”.

That’s it!  Unfortunately, the options are kinda crappy as you can only battle in the World Tournament stage and only player vs player, but that’s how it’s done.  Below is the video we recorded of us trying it out:

If you have any questions, or if I’ve left anything out and you still can’t find it, please let us know by leaving a comment.
